I am planting Ruma a garden
delphiniums
myrtle
phlox
hostas
clematis
hydrangea
marigolds
impatiens
gladiola bulbs
I may have buried them in unfriendly soil
Will they be cared for?
Will they bloom?
Will they be overgrown with weeds?
Will they vanish, earth to earth?

You never know, I suppose ...
It’s always a risk to leave something.
Once I left a garden.
The lavender I’d got from my dearest colleague Aud, the cherry tree Hanne (my neighbour who died) and I planted a late and light night in June, mine hydrangea that against all odds survived every winter.
I was drowned in sorrow to leave it.
But, we can always plant new once.
At least you've done what you could. Now it's up to Ruma.
